My Story.

During the first Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, I chose to deepen my understanding of mental health, neurodiversity and inclusive leadership. I trained as a Mental Health First Aider, completed suicide awareness and prevention training, and expanded my knowledge of disability awareness and workplace inclusivity.

That learning quickly became practical. When my then boss was diagnosed with ADHD, I was able to offer informed, structured support at a pivotal time. It reinforced something I’ve always believed, that the right operational foundation can transform how someone works and leads.

In 2021, after relocating to Wales, I decided to build something of my own. With over 25 years of experience in administration, executive support and management, I founded DEVA, combining professional expertise with a deeper understanding of how people function at their best.

What began as a specialist neurodiversity focused service has evolved into a broader operational partnership for individuals and businesses seeking clarity, structure and sustainable growth. Alongside running DEVA, I am training to become a counsellor, further strengthening my insight into communication, behaviour and emotional wellbeing, knowledge that enhances the way I support my clients.

The journey has been both challenging and rewarding, shaping not only my business but my perspective on leadership, resilience and the importance of creating environments where people can truly thrive.

Outside of work, my world revolves around my husband, Frank, and my two children. My son William lives in Scotland on the shores of Loch Fyne, where he runs a successful business as a chef. My daughter Isla is studying Health & Social Care at college and plans to begin a nursing degree later this year. I am immensely proud of them both.

Frank and I travel whenever we can, but when we are home you’ll often find us exploring the Brecon Beacons. I also treasure time in my garden, planting flowers, fruit and vegetables. A simple but grounding way to reset and protect my own wellbeing.
