Summer, Studies, and So Much to Be Grateful For

Summer is here, but honestly? The usual slowdown hasn’t arrived. If anything, it feels like the pace has ramped up! The hustle and bustle has been non-stop, and I’ve been running at 110 miles per hour. But you know what? I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I love what I do. I get to support brilliant clients every single day, people building businesses, growing careers, and juggling complex workloads. It's not just entrepreneurs I work with; many of my clients are in employed roles too, navigating demanding jobs where executive function challenges can really impact day-to-day performance. Whether it’s managing inboxes, planning projects, or simply offering emotional scaffolding, I’m there to lighten the load.

I know I’m lucky. I’ve got a diary full of exciting projects, and clients who trust me to be part of their journey. So no complaints her, just a whole lot of gratitude.

In April, I made a big decision. A life-changing one, really. I enrolled on a 3-year course to become a counsellor, something that’s been in my heart for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been fascinated by people, by emotions, by the stories we carry and how we make sense of the world. I just never quite had the time (and let’s be honest, I probably still don’t!) to give it the commitment it deserves.

But something about this year, perhaps the looming big birthday next year, nudged me to stop waiting. So, the time is now. The course begins in November, and while that may sound far off, I know it’ll be here in a flash. I’ve already got a stack of reading to dive into, and I’m feeling more excited than nervous… so far!

On the work front, I recently welcomed three new clients (a lovely package deal) and they’ve definitely kept me on my toes! Combined with the amazing clients I already support, no two days ever look the same. I feel truly privileged to work across such a wide variety of roles and industries. It keeps me learning, thinking, and growing constantly.

And finally, a well-deserved break is on the horizon. In early July, I’m heading off on holiday with my husband, my two adult children, and their partners. It’s the first time we’ll all be away together in over ten years, and I can’t wait. Crete, here we come!

So yes, things are full-on. But they’re full of joy too. Work, study, family, this summer is shaping up to be one I’ll never forget.
